Weekly:

Stop Motion Animation – Ages 7-10

Lego, Plasticene, and coloured paper are three great mediums for stop motion storytelling. Let your child’s creativity fly in this fun filled creative class!

Dates: Thursdays, January 24th – February 28th

Time:  3:30 – 5:00

Cost:  $120

Art and Animation – Ages 7-10

Learn the elements of art as line, shape, and colour merge together to tell fanciful stories. Participants will learn Animation’s 1,2,3’s through coloured pens, paper, and digital programs.

Dates: Thursdays, March 28th – April 25th (4 classes)

Time:  3:30 – 5:00

Non-Instructional “Schools Out” Days

Lego Robots – Lego Boost! Age: 7 to 10

Date:  February 15th

Build a walking robot, a guitar, or a cat with your team’s Lego’s Boost kit! Program sound and action to your creation and watch it come to life!

Time:  9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Cost: $55

Lego Robots – EV3 Mindstorms Age: 10-14

Date:  April 8th

Your team challenge….build and program a robot to traverse a tunnel of boulders, raise the stone path in the underground lake, and navigate a cavern of creatures to reach a cantankerous dragon and rescue the Singing Stone!

Time:  9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Spring Break Camp!

Lego Immersion Camp March 18th – 22nd

Students will work in their age groups throughout the day, but come together on a collaborative robot field to share in the Lego Ninjago experience.  Art, stop motion,  and movement breaks will add to the building and programming focus of this week’s camp!  

Cost:  $275

Group A:  Ages 6-8

Participants in this age group will use the Lego Boost robots to build a robot that will interact with the Ninjago dragons. Stories of the robots adventures will be captured in stop motion animations.

Group B:  Ages 8-10

Participants in this age group will use the Lego WeDo robots to build unique robots that will either assist evil Lord Garmadon or join forces with Lloyd and his ninja force. Participants will build additional Ninjago kits to help set the scene. Participants will choose either to create stop motion animations of their adventures OR to work with our artist Carra to uncover the secret power of the pen!

Group C:  Ages 10-14

EV3 robots are the focus for the older group. A custom designed Ninjago challenge table is the focus for the robot builds for this group. Can they design a robot that can help Lloyd once again save the day? Participants will choose either to create stop motion animations of their adventures OR to work with our artist Carra to uncover the secret power of the pen!
