Introduction to MS Office – Part 1     

MS Office is a powerful office suite by Microsoft that is commonly used in business and in government.  Learn how to maneuver between the basic screens in the 4 most commonly used programs of the suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Learn to create documents in each application and format the contents.

Participants should have access to a laptop loaded with MS Office to bring to class and to use for practice assignments between classes.  The instructor has a limited number of laptops to loan during instruction with prior arrangements if contacted prior to the start of this course.

Dates:  Wednesdays, January 9 – February 6, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Introduction to MS Office – Part 2  

Once you have taken the first part of this course and become familiar with the common tools, and layout of the 4 main applications in Microsoft’s office suite, you are now ready to learn how to create and format more complex documents. Continue your introduction to the four applications used commonly in business today:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

Participants should have access to a laptop loaded with MS Office to bring to class and to use for practice assignments between classes.  The instructor has a limited number of laptops to loan during instruction with prior arrangements if contacted prior to the start of this course.

Dates: Wednesdays,   February 13 – March 13, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Introduction to MS Word – 4 classes  (8 hours)  

Learn to Word Process effectively by understanding the tools that MS Office offers users.  This course will prepare you to work in an entry level position that requires knowledge of MS Office. It also prepares you to use it effectively at home, or for school.

Students should bring a notebook and laptop  with MS Office installed to the class

Introduction to MS Excel – 4 classes  (8 hours)  

Learn the basics of this extremely powerful spreadsheet program. Learn to create basic budget, and inventory sheets, and create graphs to display your data. Useful for home to simple business and accounting needs.

Students should bring a notebook and laptop  with MS Office installed to the class

Getting the Most out of MS Outlook with Word Mail Merge and Excel features.

Learn how to combine the power of creating word documents or excel reports and sharing them via email to customers with minimal steps.  A minimum 4 students, maximum 8 students

Introduction to MS PowerPoint – 1 classes  (2 hours)  

Create professional quality slide presentations for use with employees, classmates and family.
