Word Aware is an evidence-informed approach to vocabulary instruction that supports oral language, reading comprehension, and written expression. It provides educators with a clear, structured framework for explicitly teaching vocabulary across the school day.
Join us for this training delivered by Aoife McNamara, founder of West Coast Literacy and a highly experienced speech-language pathologist with extensive knowledge in language and literacy development.
Participants will leave with practical, classroom-ready strategies, including a structured routine for teaching new vocabulary, guidance on selecting high-impact words, and a range of activities that can be implemented immediately.
This session is highly practical, engaging, and directly applicable to classroom practice.
