Academic/Social/Vocational Programming

• K-12 learning support in a 35 week Day Program and a 42 week Tutoringprogram
  • Day Program – students are registered with one of the provinces 17 approved on line learning providers and oversee the program that WVL provides in our 9:00 – 3:00 week-day program.  This program supports academic, social and vocational program for students with a variety of learning challenges – including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Anxiety, etc.

• • Tutoring Program – students work 1-1 with adult tutors to focus in on an identified area of support and receive a customized program designed to meet the needs of the individual learner, building skills and confidence that are transferable to classroom. WVL Staff are able to work in tandem with the student’s school teacher.  Tutoring topics include K-11 support in Math, Writing, Reading, and in reading/writing and math.  Different instructional approaches are chosen based on the needs of the students. The Orton Gillingham methodology is just one example of options.
